Jennifer Abigail Espinoza Orellana has been accused of killing Jose Manuel Zavala Marquez, 20, near her home in the 8000 block of Shady Spring Drive in Gaithersburg before taking him to an area hospital.

Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police were called to the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center shortly after 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, when Zavala Marquez was dropped off suffering from a stab wound.

According to police, the initial investigation determined that the two got into an argument which spilled out of their home, at which point Espinoza Orellana allegedly stabbed Zavala Marquez in the chest with a knife.

She then put him in her car and dropped him off at the hospital, where he later died from the stab wound.

Espinoza Orellana was identified as a suspect, and she was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after investigators executed a warrant at her home.

She is being held without bond.

Zavala Marquez's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
